Training Dates are as follows:

BHS TRAINING – THEORY & STABLE MANAGEMENT

At Balcultry Stables, Swords.

BHS Stage 1 Training starts Wed 31 March - 5th May. 6 WEEKS. 8-9.30pm. Classes are approx. 1.5 hrs long. Cost E180.  Bookings are now being taken, closing date for bookings 20TH MARCH. 

BHS Stage 2 Training  21st July – 25th Aug. 6 WEEKS. Wednesdays 8-9.30pm. E180.

BHS PTT Training 24th July – 28th Aug. 6 WEEKS. Saturdays 11.30am – 1pm. E180.

If you do require to sit the BHS examinations, it is recommended that you book your place as soon as possible to ensure your place.

X Country Training with Yvonne Monahan.

These lessons are designed for Riders and Horses that haven’t done XC before and would like to learn in a safe environment.

6th March Sat 11am – 12.30pm. X Country Training @ Balcultry Stables. AND 13th March Sat March 11am – 12.30.  Training at Kentstown XC course.

Spaces available but pre entry is advised, closing date MONDAY 1st MARCH E120. Cheques should be made out to C. Monks Walsh at Balcultry Stables, Balcultry Road, Swords, Co. Dublin.

Yvonne became an international eventing rider and won the International Three Day Event at Punchestown riding the fabulous “Santex”. She has also ridden at the top national level of showjumping and dressage. She was one of four Master Judges overseeing the training of dressage judges in Ireland and is a founder member of Dressage Ireland. She is also an International Three Day Event judge, and a medium level Dressage judge.

The Closing Date for the BHS Training has been extended due to the Bad weather until this Wed 13th.  The SJ Clinic on the 23rd and 24th Jan closing date is Monday 18th Jan. Perfect warm up for the RC Jumping League…..

Stage 1&2 Training starts Wed 20th January 2010, classes are approx. 1.5 hrs long. Cost E240, booking deposit of E140 and the balance to be paid on first night. 8 – 9.30 pm.  Bookings are now being taken, closing date for bookings 10th January 2010.  Equipment and Books that are required for the course will be emailed to you on request.

BHS Training at Balcultry Stables

Training:

These classes are open to anyone, whom has an interest in furthering their knowledge about horses or would like to pursue a Professional Equine career. Balcultry Stables is an AIRE Approved Riding Centre. We are holding training for students up to AI (Assistant Instructor) level.   Group’s and one to one training can be arranged to prepare and present candidates for B.H.S. Stage 1, 2, 3 and PTT Examinations. Courses are also held for larger groups covering the riding and stable management aspects of the Examination syllabus.

* Our classes are held in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere in our Stable yard

* We are an AIRE Approved Centre.

* Expert tuition from a BHSAI Qualified Instructor, holds an Hons cert in Equine Science from UL & holds a FEI Level 1 coaching certificate.

* Classes are held in the Evenings and Saturday mornings.

* Course duration is 8 weeks. 

* The Course covers the BHS Syllabus on Horse Care & Stable Management.

* BHS Certification Examinations are optional – a mock exam day is arranged.   You must book your exams via the UK Head office.
